I overlay my diverse experience in facilitation, engagement, policy, strategy and health with the lens of Nature that I have developed over many years of guiding others into Nature and my own personal practice.
WAY OF NATURE WA
As a certified guide with Way of Nature International, I offer nature retreats that provide transformational, soul-nourishing, path-aligning and deeply restorative immersions. This is work that is deeply needed in this time of separation from self, other and spirit and all the destruction that wreaks on the planet. I consider this the heart of my work. My personal practice in nature has transformed my understanding of every other aspect of what I offer.
WA WATER ALLIANCE

Claire is based on Noongar Boodja, Western Australia. Claire began her career as an Occupational Therapist, before deciding to focus on a more holistic view of health and sustainability and has since worked in Health Promotion, energy and transport planning and policy, sustainability assessment and regional development, employing her skills as a facilitator, strategic thinker and stakeholder engagement specialist.
In 2012 she was hit by a truck, an experience which gave her the ‘gentle nudge’ to go on her first week-long wilderness Quest. From then on her understanding of what it means to be human in relationship with Earth changed forever and her work changed with it. Her work now centres around ‘Partnering with Nature’; how we can deepen connection with inner, outer and true Nature and how we can integrate the lessons and generative patterns of nature into our collective systems and communities, as an imperative for this transitional period in human history.
Extended periods of time spent alone in Nature in an intentional way provides a unique perspective and wisdom.

Help with your Partnering with Nature Journey
Aside from the Inner Nature Series and visualisation practice, these series are designed to be listened to while out in nature. There are no accompanying tones or music so that you can be engaged as much as possible with your surroundings.
You don’t have to be out in wild nature to enjoy the benefits. In fact, if you can choose locations that are more accessible to you, you will have much more success in establishing a habit, as well as developing relationship with your local area. A backyard or local park is fine. By a river or ocean is especially great for the practices done with eyes open.

Nature Observation Journal
Personally I have always journalled my time in nature separately to anything else, but those entries always ended up in random places so it feels nice to honour my time in nature with its own book. It also means it is easier to keep track of the threads of insight and curiosity that arise.
It is designed to support any form of learning from nature. This could be a sit spot practice, meditation, observing for reading a landscape or for understanding living systems.
The journal consists of 6 months worth of entry spaces, with some awareness prompts and inspirational quotes, in colour-coded sections so you can either use it in chronological order or have each section for a different theme or season. I would love to share it with you!
